Over 65’s Selected for National Titles

# NSW Names Squads for 2026 Over 65 National Championships

NSW Masters Cricket has announced its two squads for the 2026 Over 65 National Championships, to be held in Launceston and Devonport, Tasmania, from Sunday 6 to Friday 11 December.

Following a nomination process that attracted 78 players from across the state, selectors have named the NSW Blues to compete in Division 1 and the NSW Waratahs in Division 2. Each squad comprises 13 players, supported by a shared pool of nine reserves.

With NSW fielding only two teams at this year's championships — down from three in previous years — selectors faced a tighter field and difficult decisions in narrowing the nominations down to the final squads.

- Wayne Munro – Macquarie Valley

- Bradley O'Dell – Hunter

- Peter O'Reilly – Port Jackson

- Stuart Ridge – Port Jackson

- Wayne Smoothy – Mid North Coast

- Rohan Wilson – Central West

## NSW Waratahs (Division 2)

Paul Adams (Captain) will lead the Waratahs, with Matt Faint (Vice-Captain) assisting:

- Paul Adams (Capt) – Port Jackson

- Matt Faint (VC) – Illawarra

- Glenn Armstrong – Macquarie Valley

- Malcolm Coleman – Central North

- Craig Cox – Central North

- Tim Jenkins – Macquarie Valley

- Guy Kingsmill – Port Jackson

- Geoff McQueen – Hunter

- Geoff Orme – Port Jackson

- Craig Stoddart – Central North

## What's Next

Team managers for both squads are yet to be confirmed. Once appointed, managers will set up team WhatsApp groups to keep players informed in the lead-up to the championships.

Players have also been encouraged to use the early part of the season to get some match practice in ahead of the tournament.

In other news, NSW Masters Cricket has appointed 2 Reds as its new uniform supplier, with an online ordering process to be introduced for the coloured playing apparel. Further details on uniform requirements and ordering will be communicated by Over 60s Secretary Bob Burnell in the coming week.

NSW Masters Cricket has congratulated all players selected and wished both squads good luck at the championships in December.
