NSW Names 75-Strong Over 50's Squad for 2026 National Championships

NSW Masters Cricket has announced its Over 50's state squad for the 2026 National Championships, to be held in Perth, Western Australia, from Saturday 21 to Friday 27 November.

Seventy-five players have been selected from across the state, with Simon Neich (Port Jackson) named Blues Captain to lead the squad into the tournament.

The squad draws heavily from Port Jackson, which contributes 30 players — the largest single contingent — followed by Hunter with 16. A further eight regions are represented: Central Coast and Central North (6 players each), Far North Coast (6), Greater Illawarra (5), Western Wildfires and Macquarie Valley (2 each), and one player apiece from Mid North Coast and Kamilaroi.

Among those selected are Mark Leard, Scott McIntosh, Steve Norris, Michael Pate, Ash Hardy and Adam Richardson, all representing the Central Coast.

NSW Masters Cricket congratulated all players on their selection, with the message "you've earned the blue" framing the squad announcement as the first step on the road to the national championships. The association's messaging emphasised its "One State, One Team" philosophy, built around the values of training together, competing together, and representing NSW with pride.
